Maggie has written a few posts in which she lists random items from various people’s Bucket Lists. It’s so cool that she does it; it’s one of those things that helps make a real community out of people who don’t know each other or about each other, I think. Yesterday, she featured an item from one of my lists which prompted me to go back and have a look at the two posts I made containing my Bucket List. I had somewhat forgotten about the idea of making the list in order to be able to cross things off of it and was surprised that I’m now able to actually cross off a couple of things. I also think it’s so cool to see what other people are listing for themselves. Maybe I’ll add some things on to mine here and there.
For my own convenience, I’m combining the two lists into one in this post and am striking through the one or two that I’ve accomplished.
- Make a tasty pot of chili not involving a premade seasoning packet.
- Sit on that Japanese Bridge and dangle my feet over Monet’s Water Lily Pond.

- Go back to Scotland.
- Plant my own strawberries.
- Watch my kid accomplish some items on his own bucket list.
- Own a Victorian style home, complete with claw-foot tub, window seat, and sparkling crystal chandelier.
- Learn how to use my camera. Working on this one, too.
- Learn conversational French.

- Visit New Orleans – I intend for this one to happen this year with one of my sisters, but we’ll have to see how it goes.
- See another play on Broadway
- Start a blog about redoing my house – I’ve rethought this one and I’m just going to talk about any renovations here on this blog, so this one’s off. However…
- Perhaps one about jewelry, too – I have just this week opened a blog on blogspot that I intend to be a fairly girly shopping blog, which will cover jewelry as well…if I ever get any posts written over there!
- Take a panoramic photo of NYC from the top of the Empire State Building

- Stay in a B&B and experience Autumn in New England
- Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC (I could have crossed this off my list ages ago if I’d gone while I lived in Maryland – 30 minutes from DC. DUR!)
- Start AND complete a needlework project of some sort.
- Keep an orchid alive
- Have a rose garden
- Sit in a bathtub full of chocolate pudding
- Master the art of walking gracefully in high heels

Is anyone else with a list getting items crossed off? What’cha got?
