and I don’t mean the down-in-the-dumps kind for a change. Last Friday I got my first real taste of Spring here when the temperature hit 72 degrees and the sky was cloudless most of the day. Yesterday I found crocus almost ready to bloom in my backyard and I suddenly find myself obsessed with turquoise again. Maybe it’s because the bluer shades remind me of the sky and the greener shades remind me of the ocean, and thinking of both of those things helps cheer me up and give me something to look forward to, even – or especially – when I think that I will never NOT be tired again. Work has been very busy lately and we are a little short staffed, people are exhausted and we’re all taking our turn getting sick with one thing or another. As is my habit, I cheer myself up by looking at pretty things, and the pretty things I have been looking at today are all shades of turquoise.
(Photos are linked to the page where they can be purchased, if you like.)
(I really do need to open a shopping blog.)
Land’s End Ruffle Neck Polo, $24.50

Double Strand Turquoise Choker, $18

18k Gold Turquoise Earrings, $165

Prada Tessuto Quilted Tote, $299 (I will never own anything Prada, but looking is fun.)

Now, please excuse me while I go get lost over at Everything Turquoise. What a fabulous and dangerous idea to have a blog dedicated entirely to consumer goods in ONE SPECIFIC AND AWESOME COLOR.
