What does a girl have to do to find a nice plaid handbag around here, eh? I have ranted before about the difficulty in finding a nice, affordable, red leather handbag that didn’t look as though 1989 or a hearts-obsessed teenager threw up all over it. I still haven’t purchased a red leather handbag, just so you know. So now I’m looking for a nice, simple, affordable, not-old-lady-style plaid handbag, maybe something in a dark blue-and-green or blackwatch plaid with a spiffy black patent leather trim, and not smothered in an obnoxious designer logo. I know Coach made a way cute pink plaid one, but my current handbag is pink and I’m kind of over it, for now, having used it for over three years.

I’m so damn picky about the things I like and have such trouble finding things that I like – and can also afford – that if I were more resourceful I’d make the things that I want myself.
