Finally! I’m making a post here that has nothing to do with “Testing my journal” or “Blah.” (You won’t find those posts now, I’ve deleted them now that the site is officially up and running.) I’ve been playing with this site all day and really like how it looks now, so yay.

So, new stuff, as the title suggests, would include this site and journal for starters. For a more lengthy explanation of how this site came about, check out the “About” pages. Short story goes like this: I was simplifying things offline and wanted to do the same online, too, so instead of having a website AND a separate journal, here we are. Plus this new domain name is very cute and appropriate, too. I have a bit more work to do here, I need to upload my photo albums, and maybe at some point I’ll add a few things to the sidebar, like current music playlist or whatever, but the site is in good shape now, so here we go.

I started a new job on Monday. I must say, it’s very nice to be treated as an adult for a change, instead of “Break is at THIS time and lunch is at THIS time, and you MUST go at that time, because if you don’t, someone will give you CRAP about it and treat you like a CRIMINAL.” I’m learning new things, too, and that’s always good for me because I get bored doing the same thing all the time. It’s also a nice job because it’s within walking distance of my house. 3.5 miles, anyway. Most people don’t think that’s walking distance, but I did walk home from work the first day. Took a bit less than an hour and a half, and I did (and do) need the exercise, but I won’t be doing that walk again until Spring gets here. Right now it’s too cold and dark by the time I’m done for the day to walk home.

I have a new boyfriend, as well. (Ha, now we come to the juicy stuff, you say!) Not going to go into much detail about it for the moment, except to say that it’s been such a long time since I’ve had one that it feels like I’m speaking a foreign language when I say “I have a boyfriend.” Sounds weird! Plus, it’s kind of odd thinking of him in that way, since he’s been just a friend for a long time. Takes a bit of getting used to. But it’s all good, as they say.

Had a nice Thanksgiving holiday here, hope everyone else did, too! Have already had the first snow of the season, ugh. I can really do without the snow except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Any other time, forget it, I don’t miss it at all. Though I have to say that I noticed, when it was snowing the other night and I was outside walking my friend’s dogs, that it felt warmer then than it did the next day while the sun was out and the snow was melting away. Weird!

I’ll leave out the part about the dream I had last night wherein I was about to have sex with Michael Jackson before I was mercifully awoken by the call of nature.
